Don't overlook ReadWriteThink

Don't you just love free resources? I know I do - and ReadWriteThink is one of the best!

Sometimes I think we get so used to a familiar resource always just being there for us that we forget to keep up with all of the new features. ReadWriteThink is continually growing and adding to the resources it provides for teachers.

You want Classroom Resources related to reading and writing for all grade levels, ReadWriteThink has lesson plans, student interactives, mobile apps, calendar activities and printables. All of these are high quality, well organized resources that can be used in a multitude of ways. You can easily search by keyword, refining your search by grade level, resource type, learning objective or theme.

Besides keeping a calendar of online professional development, ReadWriteThink lists current meetings and events, includes strategy guides, and recommends resources from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and the International Reading Association (IRA).

ReadWriteThink has also become a leader in providing after-school and parent/home resources, listing suggested activities in all grades.

When searching for resources for the teaching of reading and writing, ReadWriteThink has it all together, but as an added bonus, it is an additional portal into all of the Thinkfinity resources - which include the Smithsonian, Illuminations, Wonderopolis, Science NetLinks, EconEd Links, ArtsEdge, ReadWriteThink and Edsitement.

So, if you haven't looked at ReadWriteThink lately, take some time today to take another look at this awesome resource!
